#134.1 Standup Special Announcement
At long last!
Hi everyone!
It’s a big news day here at the newsletter, which is what this sucker is here for in the first place! My new standup special Positive Reinforcement, recorded last June, has a release date at long last. And fancy entertainment publication Deadline has the scoop!
The special, if you don’t want to click through to Deadline, will be out on 6/27 (premiering at 8pm, when I’ll be in the chat maybe giving pep talks?) on Blonde Medicine’s YouTube page. If you go here now you can click “Remind Me” and you’ll get a little notification when you can watch it! That’s fun right?
It’s totally bonkers how I’m the only person onstage in this thing, but it took a zillion amazing people working together to bring it to life. HUGE thanks go out to Dom and Jess at Blonde Medicine, my record label, and Robby at Moxie Pictures. Colossal thanks go out to Chris Werner, my genius director friend who directed it and spent so long on calls with me helping to make it look and feel exactly right. Massive thanks to Mark Newell the production designer and Russell Swanson our director of photography. It looks amazing!
Plus Steven Feinartz who edited the show, Craig who did the sound mix, and the whole production crew! Also Jeff Rosenstock and Pete D’Angelo for licensing us the theme music. And all the folks in this crowd and everyone who came to see me on tour or in NYC warming up for the recording and working out material.
Big thanks also to Mindy Tucker who did the photoshoot for this cover art and Molly Roth who did the design for the artwork, which I love!!! Oh also my reps, especially Biz who flew out for the taping!!!
It would really help if you wanted to spread the word! Even a repost is huge! Here’s my BlueSky about the special, and here’s my Instagram post. I’ll bug you all again to share when the special is live, so if you’ve only got one in you, wait until then, but every little word from every mouth helps build the excitement, and I’d love for people to see this hour, which will also help me film the new hour I’m working on down the line!
I’m going to be annoying about this for a little while, but hopefully in a fun and entertaining way on podcasts and stuff!
