Josh! My man! PERFECT non-litigation of Jerry's get-off-my-lawn grumbling. Several dozen TV comedies of the past 30 years were popular and hilarious--in addition to your three great examples, I'd add Scrubs, 30 Rock, Community, Modern Family, The Office, The Good Place...

Ooo I had not heard of The Beekeeper, but it’s going on the list! Also speaking of bee movies did Mr. Seinfeld forget there were strikes last year that affected what is on TV rn 🙃 anyway enjoy the week and I hope y’all go see The Fall Guy soon! The credits at the beginning were the main actors’ names & lines on the script like scrolling over the movie, and idk why that made me tear up a little lol I just love TV and movies so much and thank you to all of y’all who make life more fun for everyone!

Excellent newsletter, as always, but this is an off topic comment compliment because I am still laughing about "marajuana's never made anyone start a hedge fund" from Wait, Wait.

dear josh,

delightful pep talk for seinfeld.

i love this: "Jerry! My guy! You are allowed to feel demoralized by the state of the entertainment industry. Goodness knows I am. But I think your malaise runs deeper than that. If you want to push against the direction the industry is heading, you are one of the few people with the financial capacity and clout to actually do that! But mostly it seems like you miss being a kid, and that’s not the fault of kids today."

love you! thank you!
